SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION

Credit Union Support

Your support makes it possible for the Foundation to proudly promote the credit union philosophy of people helping people by supporting scholarship opportunities for our youth, professional development of credit union staff & volunteers, and disaster relief support for credit union communities. The Foundation’s mission is to enrich the lives of children in the Carolinas and through the years has focused on fundraising initiatives to address educational opportunities and programs that focus on the needs of young people.

The credit unions in the Carolinas have a rich history with Victory Junction, a summer camp dedicated to challenging children who have a serious medical condition to try things they never imagined possible. Free from the confines of their disease, illness or disability, children can truly shine at Victory Junction. Over the last decade, credit unions have supported Victory Junction to the tune of more than $2 million.

In 2015, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation made a tremendous pledge, the largest in its history. With an $800,000 commitment from the Foundation, Victory Junction has the ability to deliver its camp experience year-around to local children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses in the Carolinas.

The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation needs the support of all credit unions to make its $800,000 commitment possible. The Foundation stands ready for individual tax deductible donations and can assist credit unions and its chapters with fundraising activities to motivate employees and members to donate to such an amazing initiative. Please reach out to Lauren Whaley at lwhaley@carolinasfoundation.org to discuss fundraising initiatives.
