Over the past few years the Foundation has sought to add to its focus and to expand its mission. Traditionally, the Foundation has promoted large projects as part of our Social Responsibility efforts. We raised dollars for Prevent Child Abuse, the Duke Pediatric Bone Marrow Center, and most recently Victory Junction Gang Camp, a camp for chronically ill children.
The Foundation is currently working with the Micro Community Grants Program as a two-state social responsibility project. Credit unions are community based organization. We feel this community based grant program is a spectacular way to show people that credit unions care about our communities. Our desire is to let people to know why credit unions are different than other financial institutions. We look out for the best interest of our members and serve our communities because it is the right thing to do.
CREDIT UNIONS CARE BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
